How to permanently delete your WalkList account and data.

This page explains how to request deletion of your WalkList account and what happens to your data when you do.

Export your data first

Before deleting, export any punch lists or PDFs you want to keep. Go to Settings → Export my data to download a copy. Deletion is permanent — there is no undo.

Delete from the app (fastest)

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from within WalkList:

  • Mobile (iOS / Android): open the menu → Settings → Delete account → confirm. You'll be signed out once deletion completes.
  • Web app: go to Settings → Delete account → confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify ownership of the account before processing the request, and will complete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data and content, including:

  • Your account identity (name, email, company name, and login credentials).
  • All projects, punch lists, punch items, photos, annotations, voice notes, and status history.
  • Customer share links (links stop working immediately upon deletion).
  • PDF exports stored in the Service.
  • Team member associations and trade assignments linked to your account.

What we may retain

We may keep limited records where we are legally required to — for example, billing and tax records relating to a past subscription, and minimal security/audit logs. These are retained only as long as needed to meet those obligations and are not used for any other purpose.

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are managed by those stores. Deleting your WalkList account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
