How WalkList handles your information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information WalkList ("WalkList", "we", "us") collects when you use the WalkList apps and website (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. WalkList is a punch list and project close-out tool for contractors and construction teams.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we store your name, email address, and company name (if provided). Passwords are hashed — we never see or store them in plain text.
- Content you create. Project names and details, punch list items, photos and annotations you capture on the job site, voice dictation transcriptions, trade and assignee labels, status changes, and PDF exports you generate.
- Customer share links. When you generate a share link, the linked punch list data (items, photos, statuses) is accessible to anyone with that link until you revoke it. We store the link token and its access log.
- Subscription information. If you subscribe, purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor. We receive subscription status (active/expired), not your full card details.
- Technical & diagnostic data. Basic logs (request timing, error reports, device and app version) needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — store your punch lists, sync across devices, generate PDFs, and power customer share links.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To manage your subscription.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use your job-site data for advertising.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms: hosting and database, identity/authentication, email delivery, and payment processing. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
If you create a customer share link for a punch list, anyone with that link can view that punch list and its photos until you revoke the link. Revoke links from the project settings at any time.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.
Your rights & choices
- Access & export. You can export your punch list data and PDFs from the app at any time.
- Deletion. You can delete your account and associated data from Settings, or by emailing us. See the Delete Account page for details.
- Email. Transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing) are part of the Service. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, scoped access controls, and least-privilege service accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and your customers' data.
Children
WalkList is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date; material changes may be communicated in-app or by email.
